Referring to something you touched on in your ramble about the Stargate AI Health nonsense, I've also come to the conclusion that the the techno-health measures are being driven by transhumanists who are desperate to develop the technology to make them live forever. They're using us in their experiments--for the ultimate good of humanity. I think it's important to realize that most such criminals are probably driven by some greater good objective. Generally, people, even bad people, do not kill just for profit. I believe they thought that at least some of the various Covid-19 vax lot formulations would work really well. But, of course, they're delusional. And, having learned nothing from their mistakes, they're forging ahead with the next mass experiment.
Hitting a plateau is hard but maybe is a way of stabilizing your gains (losses). There's so much guess work in how bodies work. I've never been able to figure out a reliable formula other than putting one foot in front of the other, which you're doing very well.
And I clicked on the wage cage. What a great term! And awful reality! My daughter who works in bereavement had to transition to a new system that tracks their productivity. Like the 'Pacesetter' for strawberry pickers that keeps them bent over and running to keep up with it. Technology is NOT there to make working for others better.
I am still learning to be patient with all this for sure!
I've been meaning to compile a talk/post about workplace technology given how invasive and predatory it is and can be. This seems harder to do when not having an "insider" view. One concerning trend is having to have "security software" installed on one's phone to start a new job. I'm sure they all make every assurance, but the kinds of intrusions this can enable are highly concerning. You're absolutely right to draw attention to more overt assaults as well.
It's sad because these things make my warnings sound a lot less like alarmism and more like too little too late, despite the fact that it's still generally seen as alarmism by the wider public.
Let go of accomplishment, grasshopper ;-) Keep sounding the alarm. It's neither alarmist nor too late--there is no too late. We're changing the trajectory of 5000 yrs.
Get on your offline heart-rate monitor project and you may have a couple of customers. I really don't like the direction fitness devices went. Any time you can use a tool to encourage your progress is probably good.

Thanks for the update, Gabriel. And glad you're feeling better. Best.
